Our Commitment In a rural area such as Floyd County sports and recreational activities are a vital part of the community. Last year more than 3,000 children and adults participated in the Authority’s programs. Our programs help develop good citizenship, responsibility, sportsmanship and strong character. The recreation activities provided are an excellent way to promote community involvement. The greatest asset to our programs is the partnership with our community businesses and organizations. Our existence and strength comes from our many dedicated volunteers. We are committed that every child and adult in Floyd/Floyd County has the opportunity to participate in any of our sports and recreational activities.
